Stop the Big Media Takeover!
Almost all private Canadian television stations are owned by national media conglomerates and, because of increasing cross-ownership, most of the daily newspapers we read are owned by the same corporations that own television and radio stations.
This means a handful of Big Media Conglomerates control what Canadians can most readily see, hear and read. It means less local and regional content, more direct control over content by owners and less analysis of the events that shape our lives. It also means less media choice for Canadians and fewer jobs for Canadian media workers.
We must also be wary of the impacts mergers have on the diversity and neutrality of new on-line media. We need to reverse this trend before big media gets even bigger!

Does this guy have nothing better to do. I can't believe he chased after the kid who said he had a picture of him choking the other kid. Imagine that, you arrest one person, and then you leave that person completely alone while chase down someone who caught you on tape choking a 13 year old. I guess it was more important to cover his ass than enforce whaatever he believed to be the original crime in the first place, which appears to be some city ordinance which gives the police to gather up kids like they are allready convicted fellons. Il entendit et ressentit des explosions secouer le sous-sol de la Tour Nord quelques secondes avant que l’avion de ligne percute les étages supérieurs.
Il affirme qu’il a ressenti des explosions venant d’en dessous de l’endroit où il se trouvait : dans le sous-sol où il travaillait. Il explique que les murs se sont fissurés autour de lui et qu’il a d’ailleurs secouru un homme du nom de Felipe David, gravement brûlé par ces explosions.
Tous ces événements sont arrivés quelques secondes avant et durant l’impact de l’avion. Et à travers son témoignage, il pose une question que tout le monde devrait se poser ? Comment un avion de ligne, s’écrasant 90 étages (soit plus de 300 m) au-dessus, peut-il brûler profondément les bras et le visage d’un homme se trouvant dans le sous-sol quelques secondes seulement après l’impact ?
Son récit de témoin oculaire, confirmé par au moins 14 personnes sur les lieux avec lui, n’est pas de la spéculation ou de la conjecture. Ce ne sont pas des faits rapportés par un journaliste qui aurait "entendu que", c’est du vécu, à la première personne. C’est une histoire qui peut être confirmée, une histoire qui peut être vérifiée avec des archives d’hôpital et des témoignages de beaucoup d’autres personnes.

Why, in 2003, did Vice President Cheney suddenly become so dead-set against reporting how his office handled government secrets? Cheney’s refusal to abide by reporting requirements that apply to everyone else in the Bush administration — and the audacity of his excuse, that because he is also president of the Senate, his office is not really within the executive branch — led to a bunch of unflattering front-page headlines this morning.
But let’s assume there’s a method to his madness. Perhaps Cheney is rejecting this oversight because he doesn’t want people to know what he and his aides have been doing with classified information. Or perhaps he believes in principle that he shouldn’t be subject to constraints that apply to others in the executive branch. Maybe both. I’m betting on both.
In his March 31, 2006:…Investigative reporter Murray Waas has developed a compelling case that the use and abuse of classified information has been key to the White House’s success not only in contriving a bogus case for war in Iraq, but in keeping charges of deception from becoming a major issue in the 2004 election — and, arguably, to this day. Time and time again, in a strategy that most likely owes its existence to Cheney, the White House has selectively leaked or declassified secret intelligence findings that served its political agenda — while aggressively asserting the need to keep secret the information that would tend to discredit it.
Also, starting in early 2003, Bush granted Cheney broad new powers to personally classify and declassify material, as I wrote in my Feb. 17, 2006 column. Bush’s move, ironically, came in the very same order that Cheney is now in part resisting…..
And let’s not forget the elephant in the room. As Josh Meyer writes in the Los Angeles Times today: “According to documents released Thursday by a House committee, Cheney’s staff has blocked efforts by the National Archives’ Information Security Oversight Office to enforce a key component of the presidential order: a mandatory on-site inspection of the vice president’s office. At least one of those inspections would have come at a particularly delicate time — when Cheney’s former chief of staff, I. Lewis ‘Scooter’ Libby, and other aides were under criminal investigation for their suspected roles in leaking the identity of CIA operative Valerie Plame.”
Finally there’s the question of whether Cheney is trying to make a broader point here. The vice president, along with his longtime legal adviser David S. Addington, are widely viewed as the guiding forces behind the Bush administration’s expansion of executive power, in an attempt to roll back post-Watergate limits on the presidency. Cheney is also hands-down the most powerful vice president in history. So wouldn’t it be in character for him and his top aides to maneuver to establish the vice presidency as a uniquely powerful and unconstrained force?

Comment: Local news channel WMUR has a report on the conference. As we expected they jumped on the fact that Ed Brown initially waited for the Alex Jones show to comeback from break before beginning the conference, stating "Ed Brown held a phone conversation simultaneously". Calling the federal agents surrounding his fortified compound "guns for hire," a New Hampshire man convicted of tax evasion vowed today that he and his wife would fight U.S. marshals to the death if they tried to capture them.
"Do not under any circumstances make any attempt on this land. We will not accept any tomfoolery by any criminal element, be it federal, state or local," said Ed Brown in a press conference from the stoop of his concrete-clad home in Plainfield, N.H. "We either walk out of here free or we die."
Brown and his wife, Elaine, were sentenced in absentia in April to serve 63 months in prison for failing to pay more than $1 million in income tax.
The couple, however, insists that there is no law that requires citizens to pay income tax.
"There is no law. We looked and looked," Brown told the press.
Brown and his supporters, including Randy Weaver, leader of the 1992 standoff with ATF agents at Ruby Ridge, Idaho, told the press that the government has unlawfully tricked people into believing they have to pay income tax, knowing full well that such a law would be unconstitutional.
"We will defend it to the death. This is 1776 all over again. You cannot tax someone's labor because that is slavery," Brown said.
Carrying a pistol in his waistband, Brown also insisted that he could not receive a fair trial in a federal court because "the court system falls under freemasonry."
"There [are] no longer any lawful courts. The Freemasons have taken over our nation. … [Freemasons want] to take over our nation and all nations on the planet," Brown said.
Weaver, whose son was killed by federal agents and who later received a $100,000 settlement from the government, said he was there to support the Browns.
"I'd rather die on my feet right here than die on my knees under this de facto government," he said. "Bring it on."
Despite months of surveillance and reports of agents hiding in the woods of the couple's 110-acre compound, U.S. marshals said this morning that the Brown's Plainfield, N.H., home was not surrounded by their officers.
U.S. Marshal Stephen Monier made an effort to starkly contrast the actions of the Marshals with those of the ATF agents who besieged Ruby Ridge in 1992. In addition to Weaver's son, one federal agent was killed in that incident.
"There is no standoff and the house is not surrounded." Monier told ABC News.com. "We have no intention of assaulting the house or engaging in a violent confrontation."
Monier said he believed Weaver would attend the press conference the Browns are hosting this afternoon. He said Weaver and others -- some of whom are believed to have brought the couple weapons -- have been freely allowed to enter Brown's property.
"There is no reason to block Weaver. People are free to exercise their First Amendment rights," Monier said. "We are not setting up roadblocks or surrounding the house."
In April, Ed and Elaine Brown were sentenced in absentia to 63 months in prison for failing to pay more than $1 million in taxes.
Since failing to appear in court the couple has remained within the concrete-fortified walls of their rural New Hampshire home.
Monier said the Marshals have been communicating with the couple in an effort to get them to turn themselves over the federal authorities without having to resort to the use of force.
"We know they have weapons and we do not want to see this escalate," he said.
Last week agents cut off the home's telephone, Internet and power access. Monier said the couple most likely had generators -- possibly solar or wind powered -- but that eventually the Browns would become uncomfortable enough in their isolation that they would be forced to surrender.
"They probably have generators but those will soon need fuel and need people to fix them. We want to continue to encourage them, and make it uncomfortable enough for them that they'll give up."
Brown said he and his wife had enough supplies to wait out the government no matter how long it lasted. He said the couple did not use air conditioning and could chop down trees from firewood.
Last week, Danny Riley a friend of the Browns was arrested near their home by federal agents while walking the couple's dog.
The Marshals claim they were engaged in routine surveillance of the property, but the Browns believe Riley thwarted a potential raid.RELATED NEWS:

MYSPACE: Cops Use Myspace
Police have open investigations on several thousands of myspace users. Listen carefully to what they say, watch it twice. The cop says anything illegal on your page, like a pot leaf, is enough to open an investigation against you. Once they confirm that you are the person you're claiming to be in your profile, they can get a search or arrest warrant. The lawyer tries to sugar coat things, but listen carefully. What you post by itself isn't always enough to convict you. But it's enough to issue a warrant to convict you, get it. Myspace has a judge working full time in CA issuing warrants. If cops are undercover on myspace, then so is the FBI, CIA, ATF, DoD ect... Remember, one illegal or suspect photo is enough to start an investigation.

Un texte qui fera date. De par la qualité de son signataire et de par la substance de son contenu. Le Péruvien Alvaro de Soto, coordinateur spécial des Nations unies pour le processus de paix au Proche-Orient a remis son dernier rapport au secrétaire général de l'ONU le 5 mai, avant de quitter la scene professionnelle.
Dans ce texte, véritable brulot politique, celui qui quitte les Nations unies apres vingt-cinq ans de bons et loyaux services, « se lâche », comme nous le dit un diplomate belge. Mais ses remarques séveres pour les Etats-Unis, les Nations unies et Israël n'étaient pas destinées a publication. Il est revenu a notre confrere britannique The Guardian, de révéler l'existence de ce rapport de 53 pages en anglais et de le diffuser sur internet (1).
Ce « rapport de fin de mission » énumere des constats additionnés tout au long des deux dernieres années par un acteur de premier plan de la scene diplomatique proche-orientale. Les deux années en question, de septembre 2005 a mai 2007, ont été riches en événements : retrait unilatéral d'Israël de Gaza, victoire du Hamas aux élections de janvier 2006, boycott subséquent du gouvernement palestinien islamiste par Israël et la communauté internationale, guerre du Liban a l'été dernier, mise en place d'un gouvernement palestinien d'unité nationale en mars 2007 et maintien du siege international. Les observations du diplomate onusien aident a expliquer comment les choses ont évolué jusqu'a la dramatique situation actuelle.
En bref, comme le résume The Gardian, Alvaro de Soto, estime que le boycott international imposé aux Palestiniens a été « au mieux d'extreme courte vue » et a eu « des conséquences dévastatrices pour le peuple palestinien ». Israël de son côté « a adopté une attitude essentiellement de refus envers les Palestiniens ». Les agissements des négociateurs du Quartet (Etats-Unis, Union européenne, Russie et ONU) se sont transformés en « spectacle secondaire ». Quant aux Palestiniens, leur engagement a mettre fin aux violence est « au mieux imparfait, au pire répréhensible ».
Des jugements tres lourds surgissent ça et la dans le texte. « Les mesures prises par la communauté internationale dans le but espéré de promouvoir une entité palestinienne qui vivrait en paix avec son voisin israélien ont eu précisément l'effet inverse », écrit de Soto par exemple. Ou encore : « L'impartialité est devenue soumission a la politique américaine, NDLR d'une maniere sans précédent au début de 2007 ».
Cette soumission est notamment lisible, explique-t-il, dans l'attitude du Quartet par rapport au gel par Israël des transferts de taxes effectués en faveur de l'Autorité palestinienne : « Le Quartet s'est vu interdire de se prononcer sur le sujet parce que les Etats-Unis, comme ses représentants nous l'ont signifié, ne souhaitent pas qu'Israël transfere ces fonds a l'AP ».
L'ex-envoyé spécial de l'ONU regrette d'ailleurs la politique de siege imposé au Hamas : « Le Hamas évoluait et pouvait encore le faire et nous devions l'encourager dans cette évolution, de sorte qu'un dialogue puisse s'instaurer dans lequel l'ONU aurait eu un rôle a jouer ». Ce siege existe car les conditions posées au Hamas - reconnaissance d'Israël, renonciation a la violence et respect des accords antérieurs conclu par l'OLP - ne sont remplies : a ce propos, de Sotos critique les Etats-Unis et Israël « réfugiés dans une position de rejet, dont ils sont prisonniers, en insistant sur des préconditions dont on sait qu'elles ne sont pas réalisables ».
L'Europe, a son tour, en prend pour son grade : « Les eurocrates ont réalisé qu'ils avaient dépensé plus d'argent en boycottant l'Autorité palestinienne que lorsqu'ils la soutenaient et qu'en la contournant cela n'a pas permis de la consolider, mais que cet argent a été investi a fonds perdu ».
De Soto n'épargne pas les Nations unies : « Quasiment a tout moment, l'accent est mis sur les bonnes relations avec les Etats-Unis et sur l'amélioration des relations de l'ONU avec Israël, constate-t-il encore. Il y a un réflexe apparent, dans chaque situation ou l'ONU doit prendre position, de se demander d'abord comment Israël ou Washington réagiront, plutôt que se demander quelle est la bonne position a adopter ».
La langue de bois, on le voit, ne transpire pas dans ce rapport « secret » : « Je ne crois pas, honnetement, continue-t-il, que l'ONU fasse a Israël la moindre faveur en ne lui parlant pas franchement de ses erreurs dans le processus de paix. Nous ne sommes pas un ami d'Israël si nous permettons a ce pays de se satisfaire que les Palestiniens soient les seuls a blâmer ou que ce pays puisse, avec légereté, continuer a ignorer ses obligations liées aux accords passés, sans payer un prix diplomatique a court terme et un prix beaucoup plus élevé en matiere d'identité et de sécurité a plus long terme ». Et plus loin : « Je me demande si les autorités israéliennes réalisent qu'elles récoltent ce qu'elles sement, et elles encouragent systématiquement le cycle violence-répression au point qu'il se reproduit de lui-meme ».
Il y a pire encore. Alvaro de Sotos reproche aux Etats-Unis d'avoir « poussé a une confrontation entre le Hamas et le Fatah », et il cite un diplomate américain qui lui confie « J'aime cette violence », alors les heurts palestiniens fratricides se développent.
Mercredi a New York, une porte-parole du secrétaire général de l'ONU Ban Ki-moon a déclaré qu'il était « profondément regrettable » que ce rapport ait été publié dans la presse, et a précisé que « les points de vue contenus dans le rapport ne devraient pas etre considérés comme la politique officielle de l'ONU ». De Soto n'aura sans doute pas été surpris par cette réaction.

Graeme MacQueen, Founding Director of the Centre for Peace Studies (McMaster University, Hamilton, Ontario) reads part of the New York Fire Department firefighters testimony:
Firefighter Angel Rivera: "When we hit the 19th floor, something horrendous happened. It was like a bomb went off. We thought we were dead. The whole building shook."
NYFD Asst. Commissioner Stephen Gregory: I thought that I saw...low level flashes...I saw flash-flash- flash, and then it looked like the building came down. You know like when they blow up a building, when it falls down? That's what I thought I saw."
Firefighter Daniel Rivera: "At first I thought it was... Do you ever see professional demolition where they set the charges on certain floors and then you hear, 'pop-pop-pop-pop-pop'? That's exactly what, because I thought it was that, when I heard that frigging noise, that's when I saw the building coming down."
NYFD Captain Karin Deshore: "Somewhere around the middle of the World Trade Center there was this orange and red flash coming out. Initially it was just one flash. Then this flash kept popping, all the way around the building, and that building had started to explode."
The New York City Fire Department, under the direction of Fire Commissioner Tom Von Essen, collected the testimony of 503 first-responder EMTs, Port Authority police, and firefighters. It came to 12,000 pages. The 9/11 Commission, run by White House appointee and insider, Philip Zelikow, rejected the testimony, just ignored it, not germane to the foregone conclusion. Also, somewhat explosive.

La police allemande déjoue une tentative d’attentat états-unienne contre le G8
Deutsche Presse-Agentur et Agenzia Giornalistica Italia rapportaient jeudi 7 juin 2007 que la police allemande avait surpris des « hommes des services de sécurité US […] tentant de dissimuler des explosifs militaires C4 à travers un point de contrôle à Heiligendamm » où se tenait le sommet du G8. Après que la valise contenant la charge explosive a été détectée par les appareils de contrôle, précisent les agences, les agents états-uniens, habillés en civil, se sont immédiatement identifiés. La police allemande a refusé de commenter cet événement (voir dépêches ci-dessous).
Toujours est-il qu’hormis un épisode irakien durant lequel des forces spéciales britanniques avaient été démasquées alors qu’elles semaient la terreur vêtues de djellabas, c’est la première fois que des agences de presse occidentales rapportent l’échec d’une opération déguisée (« False flag operation ») en Europe.
Le 7 juillet 2005, lors de l’ouverture du sommet du G8, un attentat avait fait 56 morts et plus de 700 blessés. L’agenda du sommet avait été modifié, les principaux sujets étant abandonnés pour traiter de la lutte contre le terrorisme international. Deutsche Presse-Agentur Amerikaner testeten G8-Kontrollen mit « Sprengstoff-Schmuggel »
Rostock (dpa) - US-Sicherheitskräfte haben die Kontrollen um den G8-Gipfel in Heiligendamm nach dpa-Informationen mit dem Transport einer geringen Menge Sprengstoff getestet. Der in einem Koffer versteckte Plastiksprengstoff sei von den deutschen Beamten an einer Kontrollstelle in einem Auto entdeckt worden, erfuhr die dpa. Obwohl es sich um eine « sehr kleine Menge » gehandelt habe, schlug demnach die Durchleuchtungstechnik Alarm. Daraufhin hätten sich die zivil gekleideten Insassen als US-Sicherheitskräfte zu erkennen gegeben.

COMMENT: Now CNN has changed the damning 'inside job' headline (see SCREEN SHOT) to a more disguised story that downplays significance. CNN replaced the link and effectively killed the story that this is the 2nd FALSE-FLAG bombing of the Golden mosque (see Feb 2006)-- one of Iraq's most holy places. Both were believed to have been carried out in part by Iraqi forces and directed by Western intelligence. Such self-inflicted violence is only used as a tool to enrage the opposition and further perpetuate the Iraq War. Of course, it just came out that the U.S. is arming Sunni insurgents 'to fight al-Qaeda'-- further evidence that the West seeks to extend the war. Naturally, the bombing has already led to retaliation-- a desired and planned response.
BAGHDAD, Iraq -- Authorities have evidence that Wednesday's bombing of Al-Askariya Mosque in Samarra was an inside job, and 15 members of the Iraqi security forces have been arrested, a U.S. military official said.
The attack Wednesday destroyed two towers, referred to as minarets, at the revered Shiite shrine, police said. It was a repeat of the 2006 bombing that sparked Iraq's current wave of deadly sectarian violence.
There was no immediate word on casualties in the city north of Baghdad.
The U.S. military official, Maj. Gen. Benjamin Mixon, told CNN's Karl Penhaul that he believes members of the Iraqi security forces who were guarding the site either assisted or directly took part in helping al Qaeda insurgents place and detonate explosives at the mosque's minarets.
"He told me there was no evidence at all that this was an attack using mortars or anything of the like and said, in his words, that this was an inside job," Penhaul told CNN's "American Morning."
Mixon said an additional Iraqi army brigade will be sent to Samarra. So far, there have been no reports of sectarian clashes in the city.
Within hours of the attacks, Iraqi state television announced that Prime Minister Nuri al-Maliki had imposed a curfew for Baghdad until further notice.
A U.S. military official in northern Iraq told The Associated Press that Samarra appeared calm by Wednesday afternoon.
The explosions rocked the town and blew billowing dust clouds into the air, store owner Imad Nagi told the AP.
"After the dust settled, I couldn't see the minarets anymore," Nagi told the AP. "So I closed the shop quickly and went home."
The blast followed clashes between gunmen and Iraqi National Police, who were guarding the holy site. During the firefight, the insurgents entered the mosque, also known as the Golden Dome, planted explosives around the minarets and detonated them.
Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman Mohammad Ali Hosseini called the bombing a "criminal and anti-Islamic action," characterizing it as the "continuation of spiteful attacks of enemies of Iraqi national unity," according to Iran's Islamic Republic News Agency.
Hosseini also referred to the "negligence of occupiers to guarantee security in holy sites." Iran, which borders Iraq, is predominantly Shiite. Around 60 percent of Iraqis are Shiite as well.
Radical Shiite cleric Muqtada al-Sadr called for three days of mourning to mark the destruction of the minarets, according to a statement.
"Let the next three days be mourning days, where we spread the black banners and a call to prayer and shouting God is great in our mosques, whether they are Sunnis or Shiites, and to organize peaceful demonstrations and sit-ins in order for everyone to witness that the only enemy of Iraq is the occupation and therefore everyone must demand its departure or a timetable of its occupation."
The anti-American cleric also said no rival Sunni Arab could have been responsible for the bombing, calling the development a "cursed American-Israeli scenario that aims to spread the turmoil and plant the hatred among the Muslim brethren."
The U.S. ambassador to Iraq and the top U.S. military commander in the country issued a joint condemnation saying that this "brutal action on one of Iraq's holiest shrines is a deliberate attempt by al Qaeda to sow dissent and inflame sectarian strife among the people of Iraq."
"It is an act of desperation by an increasingly beleaguered enemy seeking to obstruct the peaceful, political and economic development of a democratic Iraq," said Ambassador Ryan C. Crocker and Gen. David Petraeus in a statement.
"We share in the outrage of the Iraqi people against this crime, and we call on all Iraqis to reject this call to violence. We cannot allow these terrorists to work against the interests of the Iraqi people who are seeking peace and prosperity for all."

During the February 2006 strike on the mosque, attackers dressed as Iraqi police commandos bombed and heavily damaged the shrine, collapsing the top half of the dome.
Although Samarra is a predominantly Sunni city, Askariya is one of the four major Shiite shrines in Iraq. Iraq's other major Shiite sites are in the holy cities of Najaf and Karbala. The fourth is in the Baghdad district of Kadhimiya.Tyler

C'est scandaleux ! Au moment où les candidats nous parlent des efforts que devront consentir les Français pour réduire la dette et qu'ils dénoncent le train de vie dispendieux de l'Etat.
L'information sur la nouvelle indemnité "chômage" des députés a d'abord été révélée par "Le Canard Enchaîné" du 7 février 2007. Puis reprise et précisée par le Midi Libre le 1er Mars 2007.
Curieusement à part ces deux médias, silence du côté des télés, radios ou des autres journaux, habituellement toujours prompts à
dénoncer les parachutes en or de certains grands patrons (certes avec raison...).
Pourquoi pas plus d'écho sur cette affaire ? Sans doute parce que cette loi votée en douce, l'a été à l'unanimité de tous les groupes politiques : UMP, PS, UDF et PCF, qui, pour s'octroyer des avantages, savent parfaitement s'entendre.

La confiance règne sur l'issue du prochain scrutin et les coquins et les copains s'organisent : JL Debré avant de partir a fait voter une loi adoptée à l'unanimité et dans le silence complet afin qu'un député non réélu touche pendant 60 mois au lieu de 6 mois son indemnité mensuelle nette qui est à ce jour selon info sur site Assemblée nationale en net mensuel 5178 euros, brute 6 952 euros.
Le total de 60 mois d'inactivité en brut mensuel coûtent 417 180 euros par député non réélu !
Les indemnités attribuées aux députés ont été définies par l'ordonnance n° 58-1210 du 13 décembre 1958. L'indemnité de base est calculée "par référence au traitement des fonctionnaires occupant des emplois de l'État classés dans la catégorie présentement dite hors échelle.
Elle est égale à la moyenne du traitement le plus bas et du traitement le plus élevé de cette catégorie", ce qui correspond au traitement d'un conseiller d'État ayant moins d'une année d'ancienneté dans son grade.
S'y ajoute l'indemnité de résidence, comme pour les fonctionnaires, au taux de 3 %. Selon l'article 2 de l'ordonnance précitée : "L'indemnité parlementaire est complétée par une indemnité dite de fonction". Le montant de cette indemnité est égal au quart du montant de l'indemnité parlementaire (indemnité parlementaire proprement dite majorée de l'indemnité de résidence)
Depuis le 1er février 2007, les indemnités mensuelles brutes sont les suivantes :
- Indemnité de base :5 400, 32 euros
- Indemnité de résidence (3 %) : 162, 01 euros
- Indemnité de fonction (25 % du total) : 1 390, 58 ?
Soit brut mensuel 6 952, 91 euros
Retenues obligatoires :
Doivent être déduites du brut mensuel diverses retenues :
- Cotisation à la caisse des pensions pendant les 15 premières années de mandat : 1 153, 08 euros
- Contribution exceptionnelle de solidarité : 55, 62 Euros
- Contribution sociale généralisée et contribution au remboursement de la dette sociale : 539,55 euros
- Cotisation au fonds de garantie de ressources : 27,00 euros Soit net mensuel 5 177, 66 euros
Avant de quitter la présidence de l'Assemblée Nationale, Jean Louis Debré, nouveau président du Conseil constitutionnel, a fait un joli cadeau à ses amis députés de tous les partis : une loi, votée en catimini par tous les groupes, permettant à tous les députés non-réélus en juin prochain, de continuer à percevoir leur indemnité parlementaire pendant encore 60 mois, au lieu de 6 actuellement (et oui les temps sont durs!)
Bien entendu cette généreuse "indemnité chômage" est totalement inconditionnelle, et l'heureux bénéficiaire de cette jolie rémunération de 4 ans et demi, n'est tenu à aucun engagement quelconque,
comme par exemple justifier de la recherche d'un nouvel emploi, d'une visite mensuelle auprès d'un conseiller ANPE, ou d'une activité justifiant cette "aide sociale",
bref, tout ce qui est demandé à des chômeurs ordinaires.
Voilà de quoi crève la République, de la corruption de ses élites, car évidemment aucun parti n'a protesté, vu que tous bénéficieront des largesses de M. Debré.
Vous êtes scandalisé, alors ne restez pas indifférents, diffusez au moins ce message!

Déclaré héros pour avoir sauvé de nombreuses vies à Ground Zero, il était le gardien en service le matin au World Trade Centre, le matin du 11 septembre. Il entendit et ressentit des explosions secouer le sous-sol de la Tour Nord quelques secondes avant que l’avion de ligne percute les étages supérieurs.
Il affirme qu’il a ressenti des explosions venant d’en dessous de l’endroit où il se trouvait : dans le sous-sol où il travaillait. Il explique que les murs se sont fissurés autour de lui et qu’il a d’ailleurs secouru un homme du nom de Felipe David, gravement brûlé par ces explosions.
Tous ces événements sont arrivés quelques secondes avant et durant l’impact de l’avion. Et à travers son témoignage, il pose une question que tout le monde devrait se poser ? Comment un avion de ligne, s’écrasant 90 étages (soit plus de 300 m) au-dessus, peut-il brûler profondément les bras et le visage d’un homme se trouvant dans le sous-sol quelques secondes seulement après l’impact ?
Son récit de témoin oculaire, confirmé par au moins 14 personnes sur les lieux avec lui, n’est pas de la spéculation ou de la conjecture. Ce ne sont pas des faits rapportés par un journaliste qui aurait "entendu que", c’est du vécu, à la première personne. C’est une histoire qui peut être confirmée, une histoire qui peut être vérifiée avec des archives d’hôpital et des témoignages de beaucoup d’autres personnes.
C’est une histoire à propos de 14 personnes qui ont ressenti et entendu la même explosion et ont même vu Rodriguez, quelques instants après l’impact de l’avion, emmener David en sécurité, après qu’il ait été brûlé, si gravement de l’explosion du sous-sol que de la chair pendait de son visage et de ses deux bras.
Pourquoi donc NBC ou aucun autre média dominant n’a-t-il pas couvert cette histoire ? Ils ne l’ont pas fait parce qu’elle réduit la version gouvernementale des attentats du 11 septembre à néant.
Depuis le 11 septembre 2001, Rodriguez s’en est tenu à ses déclarations, sans jamais s’écarter de ce qu’il a dit depuis le premier jour. Laissé sans domicile par moments, averti de se tenir tranquille et harcelé subtilement, il a néanmoins continué à essayer de faire valoir son témoignage à la face d’un pays qui ne veut pas l’écouter.

A new Waco could be underway as reports come in of law enforcement, APC's and SWAT team personnel descending on the home of Ed Brown, the tax protester who has threatened to use force to defend himself against authorities.
We have now received unconfirmed reports that the Brown house is on fire.
Fred Smart, a close friend of the Brown's confirmed that Brown's phone has been cut and that at around 8:30PM last night a silent surveillance drone with a bright beaming light encircled the Brown's property as if conducting reconnaissance.
News reporters have confirmed that police have surrounded the property and that they were kept away from the property.
Authorities have been telling reporters that they would not violently engage the Brown family for the past few months but this now appears to be the case.
"Dozens of heavily armed state police and federal agents have assembled near the rural Grafton County home of tax protesters Ed and Elaine Brown."
"About 50 state troopers, some armed with high-powered rifles, along with a vehicle from the explosives unit gathered this morning in Plainfield, a small town where Edward and Elaine Brown have holed up in their home since being convicted of tax evasion and sentenced to lengthy federal prison terms," reportsthe Plainfield Union Leader.

Robo-Snipers, Auto Kill Zones to Protect Israeli Borders

For years and years, the Israeli military has been trying to figure out a way to keep Palestinian militants in the Gaza Strip from crossing over into Israel proper. The latest tactic: create a set of "automated kill zones" by networking together remote-controlled machine guns, ground sensors, and drones along the 60-kilometer border.
Defense News' Barbara Opall-Rome reports that "initial deployment plans for the See-Shoot system call for mounting a 0.5-caliber automated machine gun in each of several pillboxes interspersed along the Gaza border fence."
Connected via fiber optics to a remote operator station and a command-and-control center, each machine gun-mounted station serves as a type of robotic sniper, capable of enforcing a nearly 1,500-meter-deep no-go zone.
The IDF’s [Israeli Defense Forces] Southern Command is also considering adding Gill/Spike anti-tank missiles to extend the no-go zones to several kilometers, defense and industry sources here said.
The guns will be based on the Samson Remote Control Weapons Station. And the pillboxes are supposed to be positioned "at intervals of some hundreds of meters along the border, " Jane's Defence Weekly observes. They'll be "protected and secured (alarms, sensors and steel doors) and feature retractable armored covers that protect the weapon station when not in use."
Once IDF sensors locate a potential target, the operator can cue Sentry Tech to verify or engage the target through its own electro-optic (EO) day/night sensor package. The sensor-acquired information is transferred to the electro-optic package of the weapon station, which slews to the target, enabling the operator to locate and track the target... Each Sentry Tech can cover another in the event of a system failure and a single [center] can control up to 15 weapon stations."
The idea, ultimately, is to have a "closed-loop" system -- no human intervention required. But, Opall-Rome notes, "until the top brass is completely satisfied with the fidelity of their overlapping sensor network – and until the 19- and 20-year-old soldiers deployed behind computer screens are thoroughly trained in operating the system — approval by a commanding officer will be required before pushing the kill button."
Opall-Rome adds that "See-Shoot embodies the IDF's goal of waging no-signature warfare along its border areas. It obviates the need to dispatch infantry to intercept intruders or to respond to probing maneuvers by enemy squads."
The nearly $4-million system is supposed to be completed by the end of the summer. "But the Israeli government has already authorized IDF Southern Command to begin operating parts of the system in response to the recent surge in violence emanating from the terror-infested strip."
It's all part of a larger plan to "wag[e] no-signature warfare along its border areas. It obviates the need to dispatch infantry to intercept intruders or to respond to probing maneuvers by enemy squads."
Which may sound like a good idea. But Haninah Levine says the tech ignores the lessons of last summer's war in Lebanon. The Winograd Commission, appointed to investigate the conflict, "calls 'no-signature warfare' by its real name," he says: "'withdrawal of soldiers and military targets from positions to which [the enemy] can penetrate with relative ease,' and identifies this strategy as a major component in the IDF's failures in the lead-up to the Second Lebanon War."
The problem is not that the technology fails: it's that the technology does not solve the problems which the conditions of engagement create. Along the Lebanese border, the problem was that the rules of engagement allowed the IDF to fire only if attacked by Hezbollah: the electronic fence therefore proved useless, since alarms were regularly ignored even when the Israelis knew that they indicated Hezbollah was preparing an attack.
Along the Gaza fence, the rules of engagement are much more aggressive, but the Palestinians will still probably try to "train" the IDF to ignore the system's alarms by sending unarmed civilians towards the fence. The statement that "the technology here is not as important as the need to evaluate each potential threat on a case by case basis" is as true from a military point of view as it is from a human-rights point of view. And, by the way, the only known case of Palestinians kidnapping an Israeli soldier along the Gaza fence since the disengagement took place when the Palestinians emerged from a tunnel well behind the IDF lines - a tactic which this system would do nothing to thwart."

The nearly $4-million system is supposed to be completed by the end of the summer. "But the Israeli government has already authorized IDF Southern Command to begin operating parts of the system in response to the recent surge in violence emanating from the terror-infested strip."
It's all part of a larger plan to "wag[e] no-signature warfare along its border areas. It obviates the need to dispatch infantry to intercept intruders or to respond to probing maneuvers by enemy squads."
Which may sound like a good idea. But Haninah Levine says the tech ignores the lessons of last summer's war in Lebanon. The Winograd Commission, appointed to investigate the conflict, "calls 'no-signature warfare' by its real name," he says: "'withdrawal of soldiers and military targets from positions to which [the enemy] can penetrate with relative ease,' and identifies this strategy as a major component in the IDF's failures in the lead-up to the Second Lebanon War."
The problem is not that the technology fails: it's that the technology does not solve the problems which the conditions of engagement create. Along the Lebanese border, the problem was that the rules of engagement allowed the IDF to fire only if attacked by Hezbollah: the electronic fence therefore proved useless, since alarms were regularly ignored even when the Israelis knew that they indicated Hezbollah was preparing an attack.
Along the Gaza fence, the rules of engagement are much more aggressive, but the Palestinians will still probably try to "train" the IDF to ignore the system's alarms by sending unarmed civilians towards the fence. The statement that "the technology here is not as important as the need to evaluate each potential threat on a case by case basis" is as true from a military point of view as it is from a human-rights point of view. And, by the way, the only known case of Palestinians kidnapping an Israeli soldier along the Gaza fence since the disengagement took place when the Palestinians emerged from a tunnel well behind the IDF lines - a tactic which this system would do nothing to thwart."
